Preparing for the ICF ACC Exam

Welcome! You’re here because you would like help preparing for the ICF ACC exam as the final step of your ACC credentialing process. You can find more details about the exam process here:https://coachingfederation.org/credentialing/icf-credential-exams/acc-exam/

About the actual exam

  • The actual ACC Exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions designed to test your knowledge of coaching essentials. Each question offers four possible answers, with one correct response for each item. Your score is determined by the correct answers you choose, with no penalty for wrong answers.
  • You can safely assume that if you get 70% right, you will pass.
  • You will need to answer questions in three domains (Coaching Ethics – 30%; Definition and Boundaries of Coaching – 30%; Coaching Competencies, Strategies and Techniques – 40%). The ICF has provided a few sample scenarios to help candidates prepare. You can visit this page for more details – https://coachingfederation.org/resource/acc-exam-sample-questions/.
  • The ACC Exam is a proctored, computer-based written exam that you can take in person at a Pearson VUE testing center or online through Pearson’s OnVUE remote testing platform. The exam is divided into two sections, with an optional 10-minute break midway through the exam. You get 90 minutes including the break. Since India is classified as a non-English speaking country, Indians taking the exam get an additional 30 minutes.

About the mock exam you’re about to take

  • We’ve put together a set of 30 questions that are similar to the level of difficulty you will encounter in the actual exam.

Wish you all the best!
