Now, here, you see, it takes
all the running you can
do, to keep in the same place.
If you want to get somewhere else,
you must run at least
twice as fast as that!

What is mentor coaching?

Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of “coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies”. Essentially it is coaching on your coaching.

How many hours do you need?

The ICF requires you to have 10 hours of mentor coaching to apply (or to renew your ACC credential), 7 of which can be group coaching and the remaining three hours to be done 1:1

What is the Navgati mentor coaching program structure?

  • Group sessions: 3 sessions of 2.5 hours each – The structure of these will be similar to that of our coaching labs (where you coach each other and receive feedback). We will work with a small group size so each person will get feedback on two practise sessions over the period. The dates for these sessions are fixed and if you miss a session, we will not be able to provide a make-good so please do sign up only if you can commit to attending.
  • 1:1 sessions with the mentor coach: You can work out a schedule for these 3 sessions with the mentor coach directly. For these sessions, you can bring in transcripts for review; this will also help you prepare for the coaching recording submissions for assessment.
