Will to Skill

One day each quarter, where we run a series of open programs engineered towards specific groups or needs. Each module is a byte-sized 90-minute session.

The first Will to Skill is to help managers upskill on people management and decision making behaviours.

Topics:

  1. Leading the next gen – Leading a team of different generations can be an incredibly rich experience when we have the skills to capitalize on the strengths that each generation brings to the workplace. This module helps you understand generational diversity and work more effectively with young adults in your organisation by equipping you with insights and tools to engage them meaningfully.
  2. Decisions under Pressure - AI gives managers a lot of information, but making an effective decision is still very much a human prerogative. This is a module that introduces you to different decision-making styles and the importance of flexing between them.
  3. Positive Accountability - Workslopping is becoming a real issue (the cool term refers to the tendency to pass on sloppy AI-generated work downstream), and holding team members accountable is a real challenge. This module focuses on how managers can communicate consequences for the lack of accountability without sounding threatening.
  4. I Gave Feedback. Now What? - Often, we give feedback to people who get angry or apathetic, or are sad. In this session, managers will learn how to work through difficult responses to feedback in an empathetic yet firm manner.
