She gave herself
some very good advice.
(though she very
seldom followed it)
I loved the gentle and encouraging pace of the sessions and labs. The coaches Piyush and Sridhar were brilliant and the course coverage and practice were very encouraging. I was also thrilled to meet so many like minded and supportive peers.
The alternating between theory/framework and the hands on practice in the labs. What stood out for me the safe space created by the coaches and their gentle and unwavering encouragement.
I had been trained before but the Navgati model works really effectively and we build skills almost without being consciously aware of doing so. I think it is a good idea to encourage people to complete their Mentor Coaching and 1:1 immediately after the training. I had a bit of a gap and I felt I was in a better flow right after
Navgati's coaching program is meticulous and well updated with contemporary trends. The facilitators - Sridhar & Piyush are generous and kind. And ensure everyone gets personal attention. The program does an excellent job in balancing theories + practicals. To top it all, there is an active support ecosystem comprising multiple WhatsApp groups to amplify one's learnings beyond the course, get doubts cleared, look for peer coaching and continuously learn from upcoming webinars.
The Leaders Develop Leaders program changed me as an individual, which is reflected in the way I coach. I have become more present in my conversations with people, and my listening skills have improved. My self-reflection has also enhanced.
I was always in awe of the way courses are curated at Navgati. I have done my facilitation 1-0-1 and theatre-based facilitation from here. Therefore, when I decided to invest in learning to be a coach, it had to be with Navgati. In my experience, I have felt the coaches trained by Navgati seem to have brought the coaching style naturally.
My experience with the ACC program at Navgati has been truly transformative. It’s an authentic, emotionally mature space where the cohort, mentors, and frameworks make the learning deeply enriching. Over four months, I strengthened my coaching skills with ICF rigour, powerful tools, and Transactional Analysis, while also discovering more about myself—emerging with a clearer, stronger coaching identity.
As a Gallup-Certified Coach, strengths psychology was already deeply rooted in me (Shu). Through the ACC program, Navgati’s tools and transactional analysis helped me explore, adapt, and integrate new ways of working (Ha). I now leave with my own Shuhari playbook—grounded, confident, and ready to coach from a place where my tools flow seamlessly (Ri).It also deepened my own introspection through TA drivers, and through peer coaching I found surprising answers about myself. The safe, non-judgmental space Navgati (Kudos to Sridhar and Piyush) created—one that balanced structure with freedom to explore. The blend of Transactional Analysis, ICF competencies, coaches collective ecosystem, FFF, and practical tools was powerful. Peer coaching, especially, became a space for both practice and personal revelation during the coaching labs. Perhaps also invite PCC or MCC-certified coaches for an interaction and Q&A on their coaching journey—it would be inspiring and give us perspective on the path ahead.
Choosing Navgati was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a coach. (still remember my call with Deepa, and how helpful she was!) It’s an authentic, emotionally mature space where the cohort, mentors, and frameworks make learning deeply enriching. Over four months, I not only strengthened my coaching skills with ICF rigour, tools, and Transactional Analysis, but also discovered more about myself—emerging with a clearer, stronger coaching identity. The Coaches Collective is an absolute goldmine.
The ACC training workshop I did with Navgati was really outstanding. One is excellent facilitation; really good mix of theory and facilitation with a lot of leaning towards the practical stuff. A lot of opportunity to learn from one another because the participants were all at different stages of coaching readiness and you could learn from all the good things they did and all the mistakes they made. I’m sure they learnt from the mistakes I made.
Through-out the workshop there was a lot of feedback and that was my biggest takeaway. Getting feedback helps you give yourself more feedback as well. It also motivated me to go to the next level as well because we’re now surrounded by a community of budding coaches which is the perfect place to partner up to practise and study. All in all, an excellent workshop and I recommend it highly for anyone thinking of moving forward on their coaching journey.
I absolutely loved every bit of my ACC program experience - from the 2 amazing coaches - Sunitha and Aruna, to every member in my cohort, to the learning a-ha moments (and there were quite a few).
Personally, I learnt to overcome a lot of self - restraining barriers that I had built around myself over the years and learn to accept myself for the way I am. As a professional, the program enabled me to acquire a new skill - coaching and gave me the confidence to ask the right questions of my leaders and thus enabling them and the organization to become better in the process.
I enjoyed the group coaching, the story telling, the role plays, the lunch conversations.. as I said, I loved every bit of the 64hrs that i spent on this program.
My advice for people contemplating whether they should invest in learning to be a coach with Navgati - go for it... it would be a life/ work changing investment for yourself.
Navgati has a highly professional team that focuses on inculcating the right coaching behaviour. All the classes happen on time and we shifted from offline to online classes with great ease. The lab sessions are very focused. My classmates were serious about coaching and I got to have several meaningful discussions.
The program changed my thought process. One learning is that one can change only if one wants to. As an individual, it helped me become more patient in my relationships. As a coach, it helped me equip myself with the skills to coach others and to prompt thinking on the part of the coachees.
The core values of coaching on the true international standards is what I found most attractive.
My advice would be that it’s important to learn the right tenets of coaching. Navgati offers the right amount of guidance and facilitation. So, yes! Investment in Navgati is the way to go!
The overall experience was wonderful. I had come in with a specific need to learn coaching skills to help with various aspects of my professional ..the program structure helped me get that but it’s putting it very simplistically.
It consisted of people from very different walks of life; very different needs and all rank strangers. Learning to be a coach in this kind of set up could be tough – to learnt the skill you need to practise with each other which means you need to be vulnerable with people you don’t know. The bit that stood out for me was the way Navgati facilitated this bonding among people. The way they broke the ice and established comfort amongst participants ensured that people were able to make the most of the program; to practise skills, to be vulnerable and to hold space for the others as they were going through their transformation. To me this was the most powerful part.
The program helped me understand the power of coaching; how it can be complicated or simple and as much a daily tool as a serious intervention. This has changed the way I approach conversations in personal and professional life
As a coach (and I have done a fair bit), the program helped me apply the skills at the core of coaching in a very structured fashion – to know my strengths, what I need to focus on and to get that feedback in a very trusted space; to me that was very important. What I also found very useful was the space safe to practise these sills through peer coaching and the ability to reach out to a larger number of coaches on their journey.
I would strongly recommend people to take up the coaching journey with Navgati simple because the group of people who are there are phenomenal – they are committed to the belief of building a better world and not just churning out coaches for the sake of a number. So you get the time to learn, experiment and grow – but at you own pace. There are nudges; lot of support and plenty of opportunities to go deeper made available through various other programs and personal work that Navgati can support in. Overall, in my opinion, in order to be a coach you need a through grounding in the skills; opportunity to practise in a safe space; to do personal work and to have a resource pool available on an ongoing basis – and that’s what I found at Navgati.
My overall experience of going through the ACC program with Navgati was very good! Theory modules being followed up with practice labs worked wonderfully for me. The quality of guidance and support I received from Sunita and Piyush is exemplary! Having such committed and experienced mentors makes all the difference in a skill building program like this. The effort they put into transcribing our coaching lab practice conversations in real time and then giving us a detailed review of the practice session was very, very helpful. Expert guided practice made all the difference to me in this program! It’s the highlight of my experience!
I loved the mix of people in the cohort too. Many of us were on similar career paths and could relate with each other quite easily.
As an individual, this program helped me become aware of some of my tendencies and behavioural patterns while interacting with others. I’ve learnt where it can help me and where it can hinder me while coaching others. I’ve also learnt how to keep reminding myself to be gentle and kind to myself as a coach, more so, because of my perfectionist approach to work. The program gave me a big boost in my confidence and enthusiasm as a coach. It reaffirmed to me my own superpowers, gifts and abilities that could enrich my coaching practice.
As a coach, I’ve learnt a very structured and systematic way to coach people. The program gave me a method that can combine with my intuitive abilities and strengthen my coaching practice. I learnt how to pay equal attention to the administrative aspects of coaching like the relationship contract as well as the more functional aspects of coaching that involve guiding the coachee and facilitating inquiry and awareness for them. I’m more confident about setting up my own coaching practice with the insights, the guidance and the methods I’ve learnt in this program.
An ICF accredited program like Navgati’s Leaders Develop Leaders will give you a very effective method that can combine with your innate abilities and talents and take your coaching skills and calibre very systematically to the next level of proficiency. If such a path appeals to you, then I highly recommend that you invest in a program like this. This is not a shortcut to becoming a supercoach. It is a rigorous but very enjoyable journey towards becoming a responsible, ethical and effective coach. And I think the people whose lives you are going to touch deserve this type of light from you.
If you’re wondering whether Navgati is the best place to learn coaching, please don't think twice. This is a program with more substance than just shine. You will be guided by very highly skilled, committed, and compassionate experts who help you maximise your strengths while also working on your weaker muscles as a coach. And you will find like-minded peers in each cohort who you can build your practice with and grow as coaches. Trust me, this is a very good program with its heart and head in the right place.
I think that the first thing that stands out for me is the sense of camaraderie and comfort with the entire cohort. There was a genuine sense of traveling together for a cause and we were all in it together.
The structure in which the material was covered encouraged a very non-threatening environment of dialogue and discussion which did not make the heaviness of the material centerstage and we could relate to it as our own. The pace and manner of the coverage of the content was so natural that it was almost a surprise when realised at the end of how much ground we had covered. Seriously excellent pace, delivery and engagement throughout the program. There is no way it could have been covered any better.
The program provided me with a structure and a confidence to add value to a coachee. However, truth be told, I did find the structure of ICF constraining as it seemed to insist on shutting down my natural instincts and experience and that has been an eternal struggle for me. Hence, while I have benefited hugely from the structure that the program provided, I will possibly never be an accredited member of ICF but will continue to add value in bringing the entirety of my being to a coaching discussion without any constraints and only be committed 100% to the cause of the person in front of me. Most of this is a reflection on ICF itself and not about the program that Navgati itself conducted.
The best experience. Rare to come across an entire team from the most involved to the least involved in the project, all being so committed and meticulous on their parts, thereby eliciting such commitment out of the learner too towards their own learning and growth. The depth and breadth of knowledge combined with the humility, generosity and simplicity with which it is shared with the learner is invaluable and aspirational for all learning and development and mental health professionals.
I believe the balance of theory and practice were perfect. I’m less of a theory person but that’s owing to some of my own challenges with focussed learning. When I revisited the theory before the exam, I realised I should do so often as reminders to self type of thing, and when I do it is helpful. But my favourites were the labs and feedback
It could sound like I have the halo effect for Navgati because I love them but I love and chose them for the valuable learning I got. What I received stays with me and comes to me on an almost daily basis as I go about my life and work. When I apply it I find the results are bang on.
Sure there are lots of options in the market if you are looking for something far, far ahead of a check in the box and certificate in your learning career, make the journey with Navgati.
The course itself is very well thought through which makes it easy to absorb concepts. The course delivery by Sunitha and feedback on our coaching from Piyush and Sunitha were crisp and helped us make changes immediately to become more effective coaches. After completing the course Navgati has support structures that encouraged me to improve my skills and become a better coach._
I'm a sports coach, and the skills I learnt in the ACC program have helped me get more focussed feedback from my athletes which helps me give them better sports solutions.
The program was very well structured. Just enough to take in, gain an understanding of the concepts/ tools and try on your peers.
If you have been a shoulder to cry on, if you enjoy listening to people's stories, if you enjoy other people's success just do this course, you have all the skills to be a good coach.
Irrespective, it's a great course for self-development.
What I really liked was how the close knit the group was and the coaching lab. Because of the size of the group, it was more intimate and I felt more comfortable being vulnerable and authentic. Through the course of the program I discovered a lot of things about myself and some things I knew got validated.
The program material helped a lot in starting the journey of becoming a coach. I really liked the coaching lab format and the close 1-1 guidance which Piyush and Sunitha gave. Also a lot of other programs have mentor coaching as part of the program, both in terms of the course fee and the hours spent. Navgati’s current model allowed us to do just the basic program first and then opt for the mentor coaching later as we got closer to certification. This helps in not making the fee prohibitive for someone to start with; also limits the hours you invest because not everyone would go for certification immediately. Also I really liked the overall structure and the topics covered (TA, questioning, empathy etc).
Since I’ve worked with Navgati for so long, I had more confidence in their deliveries and their facilitators and this would be true for anyone who has worked with Navgati in any capacity.
Overall I think coaching is a necessary skill and one need not learn it just to become a coach; even as a manager, after a particular stage, learning to coach can make a big difference.
I started with this training to become a coach and it made me the coach I aspired to become, getting an ACC certification from the ICF along the way.
I most cherished the format of virtual learning and the group exercises that allowed all participants to develop a safe space held by Sunitha. It doesn't matter what is your background in coaching when you start the training, the design of the program navigates your learning beautifully. The gentle encouragement and subtle feedback developed my coaching skills immensely.
This program was my calling in the journey of becoming a helping professional. I learnt a lot about myself and worked on self in ways which nourished my being.
I loved the way theory was introduced with practical application. I learnt so many models of awareness, work structure and coaching. Practicing the concepts and connecting with peer coaches helped me feel empowered to coach others. This program also gave me friends and well-wishers for life, strengthening my support system.
I evaluated many programs before narrowing down on Navgati. The unique learning spaced with sessions and practise time spread over 6 months was very helpful because once we completed the first few sessions we could start collecting our practise hours, starting with peer coaching. if you want to initiate your coaching journey, just jump in with Navgati and you will get all the support.
My overall experience of going through the ACC program with Navgati was great. I had an opportunity to learn build skills as a coach. There was a fine balance of the understanding the competencies and hands on practice.
As an individual, i was able to understand and see my limiting beliefs. There were constant guidance on transforming my limitations to strengths by relooking at patterns, drivers etc. This enabled me to then apply the same as a coach.
What I liked the most was how the facilitators walked the talk. The unconditional positive regard that Sunitha held for the aspiring coaches was immense. This was something that were taught but to see it embodied was both touching and inspirational. Piyush as a mentor was constantly motivating and nudging to look at the strengths; and hold critical situations with compassion when I was very critical to myself.
My suggestion to people considering this is just sign up:). You will be in a transformative journey and learn to use your understanding of yoursself to coach others. Dont look at this just like any other training program; you will be surprised at the end of the program in the shift you see for yourself.
The overall experience with the ACC program was very positive and engaging. The experience of the facilitators was very evident and they supported not just the learning objectives but the personal journeys of the course participants.
On a personal level it became a journey of self-discovery, there was definitely an increased level of self-awareness that I believe impacted my ability to coach effectively. As a coach, I think my skills have been refined, my awareness sharpened and my toolbox expanded.
I liked the facilitator’s knowledge and collaborative approach. I enjoyed the peer learning and group dynamics and the mix of theory and practical to drive understanding and application. Not sure what could have been done better - the course was really well managed and the support during and after with group, forums and sessions is just excellent.
Advice for others .. understand if this is your calling. I believe it to be almost vocational. Spend time to learn a little about coaching beforehand, understand what’s involved in terms of certification and reach out to other coaches to learn about their experiences
The Navgati program is a structured approach to developing skills as a coach. Every session is carefully curated to provide theoretical inputs followed by practice sessions. This approach is very effective in reinforcing the learning and in also gaining experience as a coach. During these sessions, one plays the part of a coach and a coachee which results in greater empathy of the coachee’s experience and a deep understanding of the impact of coaching on the coachee. The feedback provided by the facilitators during the practice sessions is invaluable in fine-tuning one’s own coaching skills as well as ensuring that sessions are aligned to the ICF competencies.
This program had a tremendous impact on me, as an individual and as a coach. Many of the techniques taught, helped in a deeper understanding of myself. The practice sessions provided deep insights into my own thinking and helped with increasing my awareness of both the possibilities and the mental blocks. As an individual, I gained insight into my own personality type, my biases, my mental models and behavioural patterns. As a coach, I gained insight into my strengths and weakness, areas of improvement and the impact of my coaching sessions.
I loved the format of this program. It was engaging, enlightening and evocative. The instructors at Navgati have a unique ability to create a safe environment where participants can be vulnerable, express themselves freely and celebrate their differences. The diversity of the class also contributed to immersing conversations.
If you’re curious about coaching or even have an interest in self-improvement, I would strongly recommend this course from Navgati. It will give you invaluable insights into yourself, increase your awareness, hone your skills as a coach and improve your “inner game” dramatically. All of this, conducted in an environment that is fun, safe and engaging. The skills learned can be applied to yourself and your family, friends and colleagues. Besides developing core coaching competencies, this program will help you communicate better, become more empathetic and improve your relationships by replacing judgement with curiosity. And if you’re pursuing coaching as a profession, there is no better way to get started!
The overall experience of going through the ACC program with Navgati was a transformative learning experience.
There was a good balance of structured learning with a generous mix of team debriefs that kept the cohort on our toes through the day and made the virtual sessions (at the time) highly engaging and interactive. Our cohort would sit for 6-8 hours a day with cameras on and connected to the last minute, a feat I have not seen happen since.
The method of learning delivery made such a profound impact on my own approach to facilitation that I used it to design the first ever leadership program at the start-up I joined after my certification. The participants speak with such admiration and appreciation of the approach that I know the Navgati is not only impactful but also a practical- transferable skill of high impact.
My coaching journey began with this program from Navgati and its teachings shape my core approach of performance coaching that I practice today.
Personally, the impact has been more profound. The ability to listen, truly listen without judgement or analysis at the moment, has been a gift of this program for me. Adopting the coaching approach in my speech has transformed the very approach of my conversations at work and at home. And above all, my own emotional regulation has improved after the learning journey. The time and effort taken to recover from a mentally straining day has reduced significantly.
I really liked the "keeping it real" style of delivery to key coaching concepts, The practical caselets/examples/role plays for the practice sessions are some other aspects that stood out for me.
Coaching is a transformative journey. Personally and professionally, it will give you practical skills that will elevate your impact to an extent you may have not thought ever possible.
Choose Navgati to get an authentic, practical start to your ACC & coaching journey. Talk to a Navgati alumni before you start your journey. After my own journey I realised that some of the best in the Industry have graduated at Navgati and the support you get from this alumni group is exceptional.
The coaching program with Navgati was a learning experience - not just in terms of what it means to be a coach; but also a process of learning more about myself - my strengths and also what I am not so strong at. The process of coaching other participants during the program was also eye-opening. While there were many frameworks provided during the sessions conducted by Navgati, practicing on fellow participants highlighted how hard some of these were really to implement in a coaching process. This underscored why coaching hours as part of ACC certification requirements were necessary.
The program helped with my self-awareness at both a personal and professional level. I learnt more precisely what it means to let a coachee discover themselves. Previously my coaching sessions or attempts at coaching would often slip into mentoring as opposed to coaching. Now I more discipline in maintaining the rigor of being a coach.
I appreciated the practice sessions, as well as Navgati's efforts to creating coaching networks with potential coaches and coaches. Both have been helpful in moving the process of learning as well as ACC certification completion.
Becoming a coach is a very personal journey. It is also a very rewarding process in that a coach can truly transform an individuals outlook on life. It requires emotional and mental discipline because as humans our instinct is to always guide someone to solutions that have worked for us. Holding someone's hand (figuratively) and letting them go where they want without leading them along, requires patience as well. These are all life skills for a coach that has broad application in all aspects of one's life. I would wholeheartedly recommend it for these reasons
Navgati has a practical and yet loving approach to the process of learning to be a coach. I would recommend Navgati because these two key traits I saw in their coaches who led the ACC program.
I attended one of the earliest ACC and PCC training batches conducted by Navgati and these learnings have been life-changing. A well-rounded approach, of blending in concepts and practice labs, was the highlight of the program, this makes one a very potent practicing coach. I have interacted with coaches from different countries and institutes and I must admit that I have found the content of Navgati to be one of the best around. I also love the way evolving concepts are incorporated into the course to make it relevant and contextual. I also want to make a special mention of the trainers, who seamlessly blend in concepts of psychology as well to make this course extremely powerful. I am looking forward to mentoring future batches run by Navgati.
Navgati’s ICF coach certification training program is a perfect blend of theory and practice. Foremost, it’s not simply because of the design of the program , it is so ‘coz of the wonderful facilitation by Sunitha. Warmth, wittiness, depth & loads of experience of the facilitators make the program what it is ! It is superbly designed for back benchers, “not a classroom types” , naysayers - challenges you to come out of your comfort zones by a friendly nudge , just rightly required for a know-it-all adult learner! Not to miss the quality of the participants is equally good , keeps you engaged totally!
The coach certification training from Navgati is very insightful and informative, with great facilitators and mentors. What I found especially useful were the practice sessions and the engaging conversations. The amount of practice helps one become more confident of one's abilities as a coach
While this is a formal training for coaching, it has helped me refine the quality of conversations with my stakeholders and employees in general. As a manager it has helped me to replace a feedback conversation with a coaching conversation; making it much more impactful.
I feel that the Navgati team is very knowledgeable and effective in supporting learners through their coaching journey, so I strongly recommend going with them
When I wanted to learn to be a coach, I had no trouble deciding where to go. Navgati was a clear choice. Sunitha is an empowering coach. For me the journey helped me uncover so much about myself! There was opportunity for a lot of internal work and Sunitha skillfully navigated us through it . She provided us a judgement-free, safe space where we could learn and grow. Piyush immensely helped us hone our coaching skills. Thanks to Sunita, Piyush and a great bunch of co-learners, we are all set with an armoury of tools. All we need now is practice, practice, practice! Gratitude ❤️
The Leaders develop Leaders program was an extremely enriching experience, delivered in a safe, warm and very supportive environment. I loved the whole experience and what I learnt from it for my personal and professional growth. The learnings will stay with me for life. The understanding of self was immense with many 'aha' moments. The insights from the lab sessions, both as a coach and a client , provided so much clarity on what 'triggers' me as well as my belief systems. Some of these beliefs have stood me in good stead in some life aspects but I realised how they are clearly hampering other aspects of my life including the impact these are having on those closest to me, both family and my co-workers. These insights and building out a plan to rewire these beliefs in my dealings with others - as a wife, mother, manager as well as coach - were amazing and life changing takeaways. My advice to people is this is an essential life skills course that all of us should take. So even if you are having doubts regarding whether you can take on the journey of a becoming a professional coach, jump right in. At best you will go ahead and become a great professional coach, at worst the program will make you introspect in a supportive environment and help you become a better human being! One more point..the key to the success of such programs is the facilitator and Sunitha is the best!
The overall experience of the ACC program with Navgati was fantastic. What stood out was the depth of instruction, and the quality of the peer group. We quickly became good friends and that made the discussion richer and more reflective. The program also had enough practice sessions with feedback to help us practice with training wheels on in a safe environment.
As an individual and a coach, I am extremely grateful to the program for a number of reasons. To begin with, it gave me a great template of non-judgemental acceptance in a coach-coachee relationship. It is probably a life long journey for all of us, but with the program, I am better able to tune into that mindset in everyday life. The second biggest impact is about how I use questions to shape conversations. This actually helps me understand and appreciate differences around me far more than earlier.
I liked the focus on TA as a frame for enquiry, the peer coaching workshops and I loved the facilitator! I liked the fact that while all of us participants were hungry for tools, the focus was kept on the mindset since that's what makes us good coaches.
My advice to anyone who is thinking about whether coaching is for them - just do it as part of your own journey, irrespective of whether you want to be a full time coach. It is similar to doing a yoga retreat - it is just good to know in an immersive way, but the best benefits come with practice.
For anyone who is wondering whether Navgati, or some other consultant - there are plenty of offerings available. What distinguishes Navgati is the depth of content and focus on each participant. It may be less lucrative to add to one's CV than some global names, but the learning will be invaluable.
I’ve always wanted to get professional training around coaching, and having built the trust in Navgati’s expertise, I decided to take the plunge. I’ve completed both ACC and PCC trainings with Navgati. The facilitators built an amazingly personal connect and would take interest in every participant's growth and development. The entire intervention was very well structured and they used very creative and innovative ways to keep us all engaged. I’d highly recommend Navgati for ICF training.
Navgati’s ACC program is very well designed, keeping in mind the coaching competencies as well as the need to apply the competencies and practice them. It had an adequate balance of theory and practice.
As an individual, it has helped me unblock areas that held me back, especially he peer coaching sessions I have been doing. As a coach, it helped me refine my methods to help my coaches to achieve their goals. I think the lab sessions were especially good with focus on practice and feedback.
You should do this, to develop yourself and to allow yourself to unblock energies you may not be consciously aware of, even if your aim is not to be a coach. If you would like to be a coach, the lab sessions, support groups can provide you with adequate practice to hone your skills.
The Coaching program was empowering and has changed my life forever. I entered the program with a clear goal of completing ACC requirements and had nothing else in my mind. While I have been helped to be on track with that, I realised that entering Navgati is indeed like falling down a rabbit hole, the opportunities are endless and I cannot stop being amazed at every single one of them. The interconnected ecosystem of opportunities and support offered by Navgati, it feels like I have a citizenship to a new community, one that I feel a strong sense of belonging to, and almost a sense of spiritual union with its aims and the kind of values that it embodies and instills in every soul it touches. I feel it, and I love each touch point with Navgati and its programs, and I feel very supported and invigorated in my coaching journey, at each touch-point and it doesn’t feel like one has had enough of it.
The fundamental shift is that I now have a template that I can follow to support my coaching clients as well as myself when stuck. Time and again, since I have completed the training, I have experienced my own expansion of awareness which in turn can be offered in the service of others. As a coach, I have a strong foundation in the revised competency framework of ICF, and as I engage more in coaching others I am further strengthening my capabilities to apply the 8 competencies. I was given a profound understanding of the ethical framework and it helped me know what is required from a coach and where the ethical boundaries lie. Together, the ethics and competencies form a solid platform to go out there and engage in coaching people with confidence. Each time I am in a coaching conversation, I feel I have grown myself internally at the end of the hour being witness to the growth in the client. As a person, I am grateful for my strengthened capacities to be grounded and to be able to listen deeply without judging. I also see my ability to hold myself and others has strengthened. The other transformation I experienced as an individual is by exploring other programs of Navgati, especially the one on Transaction Analysis. There was a detailed segment in the ACC training on TA and that aroused such curiosity and interest in me that till date I am continuing my TA studies which has further strengthened my self-discovery and ability to help others, including through coaching.
In the beginning, I thought the program was too structured. However it grew on me with each training session. As the 60 hours and the practice labs were coming to a close, I was filled with this sadness that it was over. The permissions offered by the trainer were nurturing, while there was clear guidance on what would be the ideal thing to do there was this kind and compassionate support offered to trainees. I loved the sense of community and kinship that was developed amongst the participants of the program. They are still some of my closest friends since and we interact regularly, especially checking in on each other and offering support in our coaching path. Perhaps the peer coaching sessions we did got us to know each other deeply and helped form a bond like what I experienced with my schoolmates of childhood. After the group mentoring sessions I felt a concretisation of my strengths in coaching and I was ready to take on any client. If we talk of what could need further focus, I guess it would be on advocating the value of coaching. It is not yet very popular and people dont understand the power it has on transforming oneself and the other.
Navgati’s Leaders Develop Leaders is not just a programme that one enters, it is a life changing decision. While the program in itself is engaging, rewarding and gives one the qualifications, skills and attitudes needed to be an effective Coach, Navgati follows up to support in many different ways to ensure there is ongoing support to the coaches that they have trained. This ensures we have an entire support system and the ever expanding community to depend on as we grow as Coaches. Through Navgati nurtured coaching communities and platforms, we get invited to unpaid events, workshops, upskilling opportunities, fun moments and even get real Coaching assignments with cohorts and pro-bono opportunities to coach real life leaders. We have seen the community spaces have also become an active networking area for professionals in the learning and development area where opportunities and challenges are exchanged and people are able to contribute to each other’s growth.
It was an amazing experience. I learnt so many new things about coaching. New techniques, the science and art of coaching.
Got great insights about me and helped me take some positive decisions about my life. Learnt the art and science of coaching as a coach
Loved the theory and practical labs. I am struggling to revisit things that I learnt then. A handbook will be of a great value add
Coaching is a great life experience. If you have the interest and intent to help others then one must definitely enroll for the course that Navgati does. It's simple yet profound. It's safe and non threatening to be in the labs watched over by Gurus like Aruna and Sunita
I had an amazing learning experience with Navgati. The pace, the content, the example and the overall program construct was flawless to say the least. Though each session was for a duration of over 7 hours, not a single session seemed long and was an enriching learning journey.
In my mind I thought, I knew everything about coaching and this myth got busted in the first 15 mins of the first session. The process began with a lot of unlearning which was important before I started learning what coaching meant. I remember feeling so scared after my first session that I knew nothing as I struggled to stay within the realm of coaching. I shared the same with Sunitha as well and all that she said was, you need to trust the process and stay patient. I just kept this in mind and today after completing the program I can confidently say that I am well equipped with the skills required to be an ACC level certified coach. All I need is to practice what we have been taught during the sessions.
As an individual - the program has made me a better individual, a calmer parent and an empathetic HR professional. A lot of my close friends have even told me that my narrative has become much more positive even when I speak about problems.
As a coach - I am much more confident to coach people today than what I was earlier. I am equipped with the right tools and techniques which would enable me to coach my clients in a more effective and efficient manner.
I loved coaching labs the most as that is where we could put our learnings to action and get real time feedback. I also learnt a lot by observing the coaching of my peers within the group. I also liked the fact, that we never rushed through any of sessions whether it was theory or labs due to paucity of time. Thanks to the well charted curriculum which buffered in spill overs as well :-)
I am unable to think of any other aspect which needed more focus as everything was covered well through the course of the program.
I would highly recommend the ACC program with Navgati to every individual whether they aspire to become a coach or not. This program is meant for every individual who wants to become a better version of themselves as the program helps you view the world with rose tinted glasses. Every penny is worth investing so just go for it.
With gratitude,
When I reflect on the Navgati program on learning to become a coach, it's the foundational block towards first helping yourself understand your own beliefs, values, preferences, behaviours, before we even think of helping clients. It opens up opportunities for you to deep dive into your concept of Self and once you get comfortable with that space, you are in much more control of how effective you can be in coaching conversations.
While the competencies, toolkits, power questioning and models define the frame in which a Coach operates in, the value of learning is how do you prevent the Self from coming in the way of an effective coaching conversation. Unconditional positive regard to the client is what stayed with me from the learning program. Navgati provides that space (everyone has their own time and reason for taking up coach training - they value & treasure that individuality) , and they are ready to clear all your doubts or even apprehensions.
Navgati has played a pivotal role in my growth as a leader. The coaching competencies that I learnt at Navgati such as active listening, powerful questioning, direct communication, building trust via presence have enabled me to connect and engage and with my team so that we can deliver business outcomes while building one of the most engaged teams.
Overall experience was fantastic. Was an eye opener about myself and the possible scenarios one could possibly be going through because of which your response to situation is a certain way’ becoming self aware.
The candidness and comfort in keeping it confidential was great – love Navgati for that.
Always that personal touch, care, concern – giving feedback is so non-threatening that you actually work on yourself positively.has got a great approach; the spread is decent – you get time. Very inspiring coaches and peers; very beneficial. The program impacted me positively from an individual perspective – became more aware of my actions; have tried to implement – did backfire in some places; you think that when you change, everyone changes – but good because you mindfully make the change. Lot to let go; learnt not to take things personally
As a coach, has made me a better listener and to let the other person make the choice and not what you think is right for them – as a parentor a coach, the tendency is to fix the problem…its been tough to learn to let the other person own it but I have been able to get comfortable with letting them decide and accept their decision.
The whole environment – the way Sunitha set it up for us to be comfortable with each other; create that safe space to express – be vulnerable; the conversation ends there – mature group. Maybe nudge people a little bit more to complete that certification.
Absolutely the best investment one could make
